Kilby Cream is an AWESOME place for the entire family. Their ice cream is fresh (from cow to cone in 2 days) with more flavors than you can try in a month! Their farm-fresh milk comes in glass bottles, and even though a little more than grocery-store milk, delicious!! In the fall, lots of fun in the corn maze...did it last week with my 7-year old son and had a blast. I recommend trying the strawberry cheesecake ice cream, their chocolate milk, or a sno-cone or smoothie!! Petting zoo and playground for the kids...a fun place to spend a few hours outside with the family. They won't disappoint...only downside is the long lines in the busy season!

I loved having fresh homemade ice cream. Kilby & Broom's Bloom are tied as my favorite ice cream joints!

After hiking with my kids in Nottingham County Park, I decided to treat them to some ice cream. I looked around and found Kirby Cream just a few miles away. It's a unique gem - an ice cream shop right on the grounds of a dairy farm. They say the ice cream goes from cow to cone in just two days. True, it's out in the middle of nowhere, but if you're in the area, stop in and treat yourself to some fresh excellent ice cream.

Everytime we come to Rising Sun to visit family this is a must stop in and get ice cream! My husband & I get a banana split and it's the freshest ice cream I have ever had! I love how they have the play ground area for the children! We go see the animals and then play it's a good hour visit! I highly recommend Kilby Cream! mmm now i want some now! Well I should plan a visit to my sister's house!

Wow, now they have real ice cream worth screaming for! They also have home delivery too, but it will cost 3 dollars each time they come out. We get the fresh whole milk which is delicious and the ice cream during the winter months (you bet!).

I missed Kilby when they were at the Ice Cream festival in Delaware. So I decided to drive down to check them out. The farm is really cute, I like the long drive-way up to the farm. Even though it was rainy today the farm was still busy. I tried a couple different ice creams; their "Cookie Monster" which is blue but it's vanilla and cookie dough. I tried the Black Raspberry, which was good too. But I tried and then bought their "Independence Explosion" which is vanilla ice cream with swirls of blueberry and raspberry yumminess. I also bought some skim milk. The girls behind the counter were nice. I will be back in the future. I love the local flavors they've made and I hope the next time I visit it won't be raining.

They've got the best ice cream I've ever had! It's always fresh and very rewarding!! I've taking tons of dates here, and they've never complained and it's always cheap on the wallet. If I had to choose cold stone or this place I'd choose kilby by far 100%

Wow... I read May's review and thought what is she/he talking about. I don't go to an ice cream place for nutritional information. I go there for a good tasting ice cream and know it is fattening! The taste was awesome and we left with some Salted Butter, Chocolate and Whole milk as a topper for the house. As for the Cows and not being able to see them...You certainly can by walking down there as we did, but to be honest it is stinky. Why would you want the Cows right where you are serving ice cream and food? They do have a petting zoo right there where you can see baby cows, goats, etc... which is way more cool. Bring your kids as their were tons there that day and they have an awesome playground! We will be back again and hopefully the tree-huggers doing reviews aren't around. LOL

Jesse hit the nail on the head! We really need less tree huggers..... As for the ice cream, it is awesome. It is rich and creamy and I really hope that is fattening. I am actually feeling myself get fatter as I eat the brownie sundae I just ordered. I hope that by the time I leave, I will need to go home and have to take all of my suits to the tailor to take out the waist lines in the pants. It is ice cream. It is fattening. Low calorie foods don't taste good....ever. As long as you don't make it a daily occurrence, you are fine. It is called moderation people! Don't eat it every day and exercise and you can potentially live a really long time. I really enjoy supporting local farms. I would much rather spend $3.50 for a pint of ice cream that went from cow to freezer in 3 days, than purchasing mass produced products at Walmart. The farm is great for kids, and they have an awesome playground. The line can get long inside, but the staff was very energetic and moved the line along quickly.

Nothing says fresh ice cream like going here, all kinds of flavors and did I say fresh ? Place is out in the country side of MD in a corn field. If you want fresh milk, chocolate, strawberry or even plain this place is a cool place to stop by . They even have a mini petting farm in the back , can we say mini horses, cows, and lol goats and rabbits . Place is quiet and friendly and credit cards are accepted

The quality and flavor is nothing special. I wish I could get nutrition information for their products, but I could not. And for a place that's trying to be community-friendly and great for kids, I'd never bring a child there. They hide the cows from view because it's basically a factory farm. Dear Kilby Cream: Get rid of the high-density farming. Do humane-certified production with organic, grass-fed cows and I'll be back. I want to support my local farmers but I can't in good conscience support factory farming.

This is a great place to take the family and their ice cream is really good. Knowing that they use the milk from the farm makes it taste even better.

I love to support a local farm that bottles their own milk. Plus, they offer a home delivery service! We have their glass bottled milk, cream and butter delivered weekly. And the prices are not that much higher than a plastic gallon from the store!! The half-and-half thickened in cooking much faster and better than commercial half-and-half. The chocolate milk is very good too! It's very thick and chocolately! In all honesty though we didn't really care for the ice cream, flavors were average and it left a weird lardy feel in your mouth. You have to pay a bottle deposit which you get back when you return the glass bottle. Great product, a total blast from the past, glad to help support a local farm.

Awesome place. spent 3 weeks up in the perryville area for school and probably went to kilby cream 15 times. found on an actual dairy farm, their ice cream is fresh and delicious. For something simple, I highly recommend their strawberry ice cream... My mouth is drooling just thinking about it. If you have little kids, they also have some animals that you can feed and also a corn field maze! Price for the ice cream is by weight. Two scoops is around $4.

I really like their ice cream, especially the gourmet flavors like key lime pie and cookie dough

Delicious milk, butter and halfandhalf delivered to my door weekly. I LOVE it! Support your local farmer! Another plus is you can sign up online for home delivery, and they make it easy for you to change or modify your weekly order. Going on vacation? No problem, just stop delivery for that week. Can't say enough good things about this delivery service, except you should sign up!

Delicious ice cream. If you have little kids, there's a playground and farm animals to pet (it's a working dairy farm).
